Designed in Los Angeles from a clean sheet, every component is precision-machined to our custom design specs. Then each watch is hand assembled, inspected and individually pressure-tested in the USA.

The PCH's case design features a bold mix of straight and curved lines, combining both mirror-polished and carefully brushed surfaces. The dial's asphalt color and yellow lines are inspired by the best driving road on earth. "Pacific Coast Highway" is printed in the same font you'll find on California's road signs.

You choose your watch's power source. Either the automatic winding Sellita SW200, or the quartz-powered Ronda 715. Both are precision-made in Switzerland and renowned for reliability, accuracy and durability.

And your watch does much more than just tell the time. 10% of every PCH sale goes to the Surfrider Foundation, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to the protection of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches — the same places that inspired its design.

A movement is the engine inside every watch that keeps the time and moves the hands around the dial. We offer the PCH watch with your choice of quartz or automatic movements.

Quartz movements are prized for their simplicity, durability and affordability. They're incredibly accurate and run on electrical power from a small battery that needs replacement every few years. The high quality quartz movements Lōcī uses keep time to within just 10-20 seconds per month.

Automatics are completely “analog” — an engineering marvel with hundreds of tiny precision gears & levers powered by a spring that’s wound up by the natural movements of your wrist while you wear the watch. Manufacturing and assembly is highly skilled, time-intensive work, making automatics more costly than quartz movements.

There's no wrong choice. All the movements Lōcī uses are Swiss-made, durable and reliable. Whichever one you choose, you’re getting the same Lōcī watch that carries the Spirit of Place and is built to last for decades to come.

Few places in the world can match Monterey Bay for the beauty, diversity, and importance of its marine ecosystem. Sea otters tend to steal the show here, but the Bay’s dense kelp forests and nutrient-rich waters make it a haven for everything from microscopic plankton to 50-ton blue whales.

Otters, seals, sea turtles, sharks, sea lions, numerous whale and dolphin species – they’re all here in abundance. When you come to Monterey Bay and see them up close in the wild, something special happens. You suddenly see not just the animals but the entire remarkable and impossibly fragile ecosystem that makes your close encounter possible. It’s a perspective-shifting experience.

Sanctuaries like Monterey Bay don’t happen by chance. Sea otters, a critical or “keystone” species for the entire ecosystem, were hunted to near extinction in the 1800s. The Pacific sardine fishery, for which Monterey was a commercial fishing hub, was effectively wiped out by overfishing in the 1940s. Fortunately, today the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary protects an area over 6,000 square miles, stretching north to San Francisco’s Golden Gate and south to the town of Cambria.

Monterey Bay is also a living laboratory, providing a unique and critical hub for scientific research. World-class organizations including the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute approach ocean science with a “willingness to think big, be bold, and invest in long-term outcomes.” Work done here delivers insights with global significance for marine life and ecosystems, deep ocean engineering, discovery of new species, and worldwide climate patterns.

Monterey Bay and other marine ecosystems face numerous threats including ocean pollution, oil spills, acidification, overfishing, runoff from coastal development, and warming ocean temperatures. Balancing scientific exploration, economic development, tourism, and conservation efforts in the Bay requires ongoing effort, funding, and above all, cooperation.

By taking action to protect this special place, we do much more than safeguard a rare and beautiful local ecosystem. We help ensure that it continues to serve as a symbol of the interconnectedness of all life, and a model for the sustainable coexistence of human endeavors with the natural world.

Designer's Note:

The darker blue lower layer of the dial represents the deep waters along California’s coast. The dial is inspired by Monterey Bay, home to an underwater canyon that reaches depths over 12,000 feet.

    Couldn't resist, glad I didn't

    The Pacific Coast Highway and Big Sur are big parts of my life and, as a designer and watch-nerd, seeing them brought together so elegantly here was hard to say no to. After spending a little time with the man behind it, I can say that this isn't marketing smoke, but a passion he made real. The watch itself is comfortable, the dial is wonderfully detailed, and the whole thing is built to a pretty serious standard, well beyond what you'd expect at this price...and knowing that price also includes a healthy donation to the Surfrider Foundation to protect the beaches that make PCH such a magical ride pulled the whole thing together for me.

    Amazing Watch

    Build quality is amazing. Feels like high quality stainless steel, and rubber strap is very durable and comfortable. The Sellita SW200 came running +1 second a day. Overall very impressed

    Love my Big Sur Automatic

    I picked up my PCH automatic watch at Minutes + Hours watch show in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. The Big Sur dial really caught my eye and I have enjoyed it ever since. Trip was great to chat with and enjoy hearing the inspiration behind the design.
